George Cleland – Company Director – started Cleland Roofing Solutions (CRS) in 2020. Having worked in the Roofing industry since completing his apprenticeship in 1988. George received his City and Guilds in roofing and worked on the tools for many years before taking up roles in senior management with different companies in Edinburgh.
Director
Chris Humphries – Director – served his apprenticeship as a roofer/roughcaster. Worked with a few local companies as a roofer, foreman and contracts manager. Worked with with local authority for 20 years as a tradesman, clerk of works and also trade union convener. Very experienced in health and safety. Chris has recently been promoted to the role of company director after his contribution, helping to rapidly expand our successful roofing business
Martin Anderson has spent over 30 years working in all aspects of the roofing industry.
Michael Anderson is Martins son and has his City and Guilds in roofing also.
Gordon McBain served his time in Edinburgh and finished his apprenticeship in 1989. Gordon has his City and Guilds, also an Advanced City and Guilds and has been working on the tools since then.
Robbie McBain has recently passed his City and Guilds in roofing, after serving as an apprentice with ourselves. He has now taken up a new challenge and will be leaving the company at the end of this week. We wish him all the best.
Peter Hutchison has spent over 30 years working in all aspects of the roofing industry.
Euan Graham is now a second year apprentice. He offers a helping hand to the teams he is assigned to for different jobs and looks forward to learning more of the roofing trade.
Sean Barclay has just joined the team Sean has worked in the steeplejack and rope access industry for over 10 years and will be working hand in hand with all teams. Sean is in his final week with Cleland Roofing before heading of to new pastures. We wish Sean all the best and thank him for all his hard work carried out on our belhalf.
Lewis Humphries Started working as an apprentice electrician but opted to join his family company, where he co ran multi-trade contracts. A talented roughcaster and carries out all aspects of roofing, including single ply systems. Lewis has recently passed his rope access exam and is now a rope 1 access engineer
Russell Dickson Time Served as a slater / tiler . Russell has his City and Guilds and is also competent in all aspects of roofing including traditional built up felted roofing. Russell recently attended and passed a Lead Welding and Bossing course
Lesley Tulloch is our accounts manager and deals with anything relating to payments.
Tyler Cleland – is now starting his first year, of a 4 year apprenticeship in roofing. Tyler offers a helping hand to the teams he is assigned to for different jobs and looks forward to learning more of the roofing trade. Tyler has recently passed his rope access exam and is now a rope 1 access engineer
Calum Maciver – Joined us working part time on a Tuesday and Thursday all aspects of office work. Calum also helps George to produce the risk assessments and method statements for the ongoing/planned jobs and website.
Zara Cleland – Joined the team in March as office manager dealing with all aspects of the administration, and dealing with various clients. Organising the work load of the management. She is currently in Australia travelling for a year on a sabbatical leave.
Alistair Cairns is a skilled labourer who helps out different squads on bigger projects. Alistair also deals with pick ups, and dropping of, of all materials on all projects.
Nathan Anderson He is a skilled labourer who helps out different squads on bigger projects. Nathan recently passed his IRATA1 rope access exam which will now allow him to safely work at height with ropes.
David Anderson He is a skilled labourer who helps out different squads on bigger projects.
Dale Birrell is a new member of the team. He is a skilled labourer who helps out different squads on bigger projects. Dale recently passed his IRATA1 rope access exam which will now allow him to safely work at height with ropes.
Teagan Andrews – Has joined the team training to be an office manager, who will replace Zara while she goes to Australia travelling for around 1 year.
Kyle Payne – is a new member of the team. He is a skilled labourer who helps out different squads on bigger projects.
Arran Tulloch – is a rejoining the team after a spell at another company. He will be a rope access technician who will help out different squads on bigger projects. Arran has IRATA1 rope access which allows him to safely work at height with ropes.
Richard Tennant – is a new member of the team, who has spent over 30 years working in all aspects of the roofing industry.
